You mean the crime watching center?

Yeh, I haven't been able to figure out how a big arse room full of TVs is supposed to PREVENT crime. And then, when a crime does occur, the first thing you hear si "authorities are asking for you help. If you know anything...."

Why don't you look at your fricking multi-million dollar TV system?

[img]It seems like it was actually not across the street. I just Google mapped 2600 Sherwood and that's where it put me. If you know the Sherwood Poboy place next to Canes that always looks closed. It was at the cell phone store on the other side of that it seems.

Advocate is saying one of those killed was the cell phone store owner. I guess a robbery. I don't know who the other person was. Let's hope it was a robber.

Judging by the helicopters still circling 3 hours later I'm guessing he got away on foot. We live by Episcopal but close enough to hear them.

I don't see why they can't get picked up for litter. They trash that area and some volunteers will come clean it up and then they'll junk it again 2 weeks later.

From the Advocate about homeless camps
quote:

Within the last few months, the Louisiana Housing Corporation has sought to house homeless people across the state to protect them from the spread of the coronavirus. In Baton Rouge, LHC has placed these individuals in a handful of motels for up to 90 days to keep them off the streets amid the uncertainty of the pandemic.

Keith Cunningham, executive director of LHC, said Thursday that around 200 Baton Rouge homeless residents have been housed since the initiative began.

The homeless don’t get picked up for anything

In my Baton Rouge neighborhood there is an abandoned house and there were homeless ppl living in it and selling drugs for three years - the police told me they could not do anything bc they were told only to pursue violent crimes

The last guy who was there finally left and he lives with the other junkies over by I-12 and Sherwood now - I wonder if it was him
