I know they can't remove them from private property unless the owners ask. That's why that camp off of I-10 at Bluebonnet wasn't cleaned up. It was owned by some out of state family they couldn't get in contact with or something like that.

I’ve been there. Not worth the price. Poboy express much better

Poboy express is awesome. But $14 for a large ham and cheese Poboy, fries and about 8 ounces of drink is rediculous

No less than 3 panhandlers working that area at a time. My wife tries to give them money but I won't allow it

Yeah, but they just switched the name and kept the slogan.

Believe me, I went to so many birthday parties as a kid at that place.

Me and my cousin beat the damn ninja turtles game there

What is a load of shite?

The stuff that was happening in the house next door to me, or what the policeman said?

I can give you all kinds of info - so it’s not made up. Of course the bit where the officer told my husband, me, and my neighbors they were only told to pursue violent crimes is not written - but the officer did say it to about 5 ppl

It was a long 3 years - and I think the only reason the last guy left the house was bc he went to live in one of those hotels

That Walgreens attracts quite an interesting slice of humanity.

All of those hotels by Chuck E Cheese are filled with hookers and heroin addicts. It used to be a nice part of town.

I lived in that gated community in the corner back by the red roof inn when I moved here 9 years ago while my house was being built. Pretty sketchy but the neighborhood was nicer than apartments.

I haven't driven by it lately. I remember that drone footage of it. Just crazy how much the homeless population has exploded in the past 5-7 years.

Why not just have a mysterious fire consume the abandoned house. Junkies are notorious for starting fires accidentally

It was the owner of Wise Communications and two customers who got shot.
1 survived.

Right next to the dope house that the police know about.

Happened about 12:05.

Owner’s large family quickly on hand.

Yes - one of the responding officers suggested that

We’ve thought about it several times - it’s just I wasn’t sure how to do it the proper way without getting caught - you know? Like it would need to be started with something the junkie would use

And I could never bring myself go into the house - the police that would go in there came out smelling awful - my husband went in there too - gross

There in lies the problem with Baton Rouge. There are known dope houses that officers don’t do anything about. There are known hooker houses that officers don’t do anything about. Then the crime just moves into another form eventually because there’s no honor among criminals and thieves.

The one next door to Wise communications.
I made a thread about it a few months ago and was told I was full of shite.

Cops know that’s a dope house.

And Sherwood Poboy is a money laundering operation.

Meanwhile, tax dollars keep going downtown.

Eastgate has been sketchy for well over 20 years. Nearby Camelot and Woodland Ridge subdivisions aren’t what they once were. I’m noticing more and more unkept yards and some home values well below $120 a square foot.

The amount of panhandling druggies in that Sherwood/O’Neal area has gotten out of control
