I hear ya and agree with you. I have been a part of this small town for 50 years and I haven't heard anything concerning who was responsible for Bruce's death. Given the people I know, I feel that I would heard something at this point. That is why I called bullshite.

Does MPD even have a jail? He's probably being held in the parish lockup.
But to your point, if his jailers can barely restrain themselves from beating his arse, especially days after the shooting, they probably don't have the temperament to be jailers or cops.
If he got his arse kicked while being subdued after the shooting, I can see that happening.

big difference between run-of-the-mill criminal and cop- killer. particularly in this case where it just made no sense at all.
did this idiot think he was going to shoot his way out of that situation? even after he fled the traffic stop, there was very little chance that he would ever see the inside of a jail (after bonding out). he could have gone on with his life wherever that may have led him
its not like he was robbing a bank or mugging a tourist

Not justifying it in any way and he deserves everything coming to him, but I don't think he intended to kill a cop. I think he just panicked and shot in the direction of the car to get away.
I talked to someone who seemed to have good information about the situation. When he fled into Beau Chene he hid in some woman's porch. She called the cops but went outside to ask if he was ok - this was before everyone knew about the shooting. He told her "ma'am you need to go inside before someone gets hurt". Just doesn't seem like something a cold blooded killer would do.
I knew this kid a couple years ago, seemed like a good kid at the time. He made the US junior national rugby team but then had a bad shoulder injury that ended his career. I think he got into drugs after that. Really just a shame all around.

You fricking piece of shite. He shot TWO OFFICERS who were on OPPOSITE SIDES of his car. Way to just run your mouth about something of which you know Jack shite.
In your scenario, he blindly shot in two directions and shot two officers all on accident?
