This area had problems 50+ years ago. Looks like nothing has change or will change. Someone should bring the old NI boxing clubs and let them go at it there. Sad.

Stated all the problems above, and still not accepting personal responsibility. Blame the city/community for your problem that you created.
How about don't make it acceptable to spit out a bunch of kids if you're not married. In most cases, I doubt the kids were had by a couple in a long term relationship... probably not even a committed form of relationship at all.

It's kind of always been a shithole. There are some nicer areas along the Bayou Teche, and there's some extreme ghetto areas, as well.
