Warning for what? What fricking law did they break?

Warning is the wrong wording, but they shouldn't be pointing fake guns at cars driving by. And yes, I understand the bow was obviously fake and the gun didnt look real either. But they were pointing them at cars, if cops were called, they should have just told them to stop

ETA: Oh, and yea I have absolutely zero clue what actual law the kid got a felony for

BS. Toys now a days have giant orange ends, there is no way for them to be mistaken for the real deal unless it is by an anti-gun leftist POS.

I will be honest, I didn't read the whole thing, I missed the point about the nerf gun. Either way, I said that guns that look real. You can remove the orange part that shows its a toy gun, I have a nephew that has toy guns in which he removed the orange parts.. But he lives out in the country so its not like there are a bunch of people around who will think it is a real gun and start freaking out.

Yall are missing what I am saying..

I was just saying... in general.. if a toy gun looks real that is the ONLY reason I could see a policeman having any concern..

Definitely was not a nerf gun, kind of looks like this one based on the news video. Still pretty obviously fake, but the snitch guy thought it was a BB gun

Let’s talk about that pussy who called the cops. He starts saying “frick” over and over to the grandfather and claims they are shooting BBs at cars.

Then at the end of the video they say the law says you a arrest a kid if someone was in fear for their lives. So a guy in a car driving by who thought they had a BB gun was in a fear for his life?

If I were that kid’s military father, I would make sure that the guy was in true fear for his life.

We have a nation full of pussies.

It is obviously fake, but there are idiots out there. Lots of them.. And they will do shite like this guy did.. And there are idiot cops.. Like the ones who handled this situation..

This is the ONLY reason I am saying you have to be careful. You just don't know how people react. And you never know when some idiot cop will show up and draw his weapon. It seems far fetched, but cops have made worse mistakes.

Like when a woman called 911 because she was raped and when the cops showed up, she came to them and they ended up shooting her.

They have shot people who told them they do have a gun in the vehicle and that they were getting their license and when they went reach for the license.. The cops shot them.

I am not anti guns, but I am pro safety and you do have to factor in how other people will respond.

Family says it took them a year and thousands of dollars in attorney fees to get it expunged. Insane that the cops didn't let them off with a warning

You need understand that everyone has their fingers in the pie. The bail bondsman gets his cut, same with the lawyers. The city gets theirs too along with the courts. It’s one big fricking racket where you get to pay everyone’s cut, and then feel like you won something. Eventually it hits you that it never really mattered whether or not the law was on your side, because every person you encountered along your journey through the system fricked you out of the money in your pocket.

In this day and age, it’s better to live by the “see something, say something” motto. These kids might have devilishly stuck orange tips on real weapons and were on their way to hold up a lemonade stand.

You have difficulty understanding how firearms physically work? Plugging them with orange tips will hinder their ability to accurately shoot said lemonade stand attendant. I am very thankful I'm not living a life scared of life like I believe many in this country are. Truly thankful

What’s comical about this is that that officer legit thinks they did something good.

For frick sakes, arrest a 10 year old for pointing a toy gun at passing cars?

Come on bruh. And officers keep having all these stupid arse questions about not understanding why more and more people don’t like police officers

If you pull out a machete in a moving elevator and wave it at people, that can be seen as threatening also. Just like all of your little scenarios, this is not what happened in this story, and has sweet frick-all to do with anything.

You came back and said you did not read that part of the story. The truth is, you didn't read any of it. You just came in barking from the part of the headline you did read.

Do better.

Damn cops and robbers now illegal?

Good thing they weren't playing cowboys and Indians bc they would have added a hate crime to enhance their sentence.

Eh, thank the government for never letting a tragedy going to waste and vastly increasing their power over the citizens. And for not preventing it despite trillions of dollars and countless amounts of invasion of privacy.

It didn't look real. If it looked real, the kids would be dead.
Cop showed up, wanting to shoot somebody. That's why he got pissed off and arrested them.
