What's the deal with these silicon valley weirdos? Why would anyone listen to these freaks?

weirdo

quote:

He says he eats only one meal a day in the week and doesn't let any foodstuff pass his lips at the weekend. He also starts every day with an ice bath. "Nothing has given me more mental confidence than being able to go straight from room temperature into the cold," he says. And, rain or shine, he walks the five miles from his home to his office. It's all part of his ever-evolving quest to keep his brain functioning at maverick CEO level. And, I suppose, outlive anyone silly enough to think that eating regular, balanced meals is sensible.

An ice bath every day? 1 meal a day and none on the weekends? What are we going to call this new west coast religion?

Guess I'll never be a CEO.

Does he have an ice maker at his house or does he walk to 7-11 for a couple sacks of ice every morning?

Plenty people do fasting. He just does it to the extreme end.

Their brains are wired weird. Sometimes when it lines up, they can make money.

I’m skeptical. All these guys want to be considered eccentric. Helps their valuations. I’d take these pump pieces to that effect with a grain of salt.

Or if it is 100% true, I’d realize there’s the above motivation to make it so.

Isn’t this the guy that kicks anyone with a different world view off of his social media platform?

Maybe those ice baths are making him short sighted.

I’m pretty cool with life and the way things are.

I don’t any of the things he does and I’m good with that.

I don’t have Twitter CEO money but i enjoy life

This is clearly hate speech and he should be banned from Twitter.

Eccentric? Yup

Even odd but he probably has to force pressure on himself, he’s so wealthy and he has no one externally to MAKE him do anything that he has to come up with some gimmicky ways of driving himself.

shite, kudos to him for being engaged, I’d have cashed out and bought whole islands for retreats in three or four different places on the globe.

If a female CEO did the same thing the media would frame it as vanity and an eating disorder

I think Bey did the very same diet to get in shape for Coachella. She put a serious dent in her 218# post baby weight. The media labeled her courageous and determined, not vane and anorexic.

Looks like she dropped about 40 on her .com CEO diet and rocked some Spanx to help out.

This new-fangled religion is called Stoicism and predates Christianity by thousands of years.
