Trying to figure out to layout my living room. Will have a fireplace but would rather not havd the tv above it. Any examples of other options? Please post pics (of living room setup) if possible.

Thanks!

A wall. Or entertainment center. Kind of hard to say without seeing what the room looks like.

We put our in the keeping room or room that’s part of kitchen area - it’s a open floor plan

Nah man, the higher above the fireplace the more fashionable. Mine touches the crown molding.

Definitely concur with not putting it over the fireplace. In previous houses we've put it either in one corner or another, off to the side. That way the couch can be in front of the fireplace, but we could still watch TV.... No pics, it's been several years since we've lived anywhere we've needed a fireplace...

Make sure you put the beach pictures of the family wearing all white and khaki pants next to the TV so you round out the lower middle class stereotype.

Don't have a pic but we put ours in a cabinet on the side of the fireplace but it's on a shelf that both pulls out and swivels so the tv can be seen anywhere in the room.

He needs to make sure the view is good from the recliner to really finish it up

Will likely be open floor plan with kitchen opposite fire place (with built ins on each side). Facing fire place, left wall will be windows, right will be foyer. No real place to put a tv on the wall.

Put it on the cabinet that holds your stereo equipment...in between your floor standing speakers.

We don’t even have plans yet. I’m trying to pre-plan the best layout for when we design it. Hence me asking for examples.

The ceiling. Set the recliner all the way back. Enjoy.

The fireplace wall is basically wasted space. Putting your TV elsewhere is a tough task to pull off.
