Walmart just slashed the price on a top-rated Samsung 4K TV by a whopping 50 percent — but this great deal won’t last.
The 65-inch 4K (2160P) Ultra HD Smart LED TV is down to $700 from its original $1,400 price tag. With a curved screen, the 2018 model (UN65NU7300FXZA) boasts a slim design with all the bells and whistles you’d expect from a Samsung TV: 2160P resolution, 4K UHD picture and universal browsing.
“I am 57 years old and have owned a lot of TVs in my time but I have never had anything as nice as this Samsung. Watching it is like being there in person. The curve is like 3D to me,” writes a happy customer. “It’s just like being in the movie theater. It has great stereo sound with the speakers that are built into it … I would recommend it to anyone that wants a great system.”
Another adds, “The picture is absolutely gorgeous. Almost no lag when changing between inputs (cable, game console, firestick, etc). I love the quick select screen that has all my shortcuts so I can switch to Netflix or Hulu almost instantly.”

Are the curved TVs not catching on?

Went to walmart a few weeks back. Wasn't there for a tv.
They had a 60" 4k smart tv with a $358 sicker on it.
I'm happy with it. I paid that price for a 27" crt tv in 199.

I got a free 65 inch curved LG a couple months ago.
The incessant hate for them is WAY gayer than the actual TV.

As someone who watches a lot of TV. It’s only as good as what you’re putting in. The 4K content out there is very limited and I’m pretty sure local cable, even in HD, peaks out at 720p

What's the refresh rate? If it doesn't have a good enough refresh rate the 4k Ultra HD aint legit. talking minimum 120 Hz Native, can't have none of this 120 truview or whatever samsung calls their dressed up 60 Hz.

My dumbass, perpetually in debt BIL got caught up in the hype and blew a ton of money on one when that trend started. Loved to brag about how he just had to have the curve

Wrong....

Comcast doesn't broadcast at all (meaning over the air). Comcast's cable only (non-local broadcast must carry channels) are now in 720p60 in mpeg4 format. the local channels are carried in their native broadcast format (720p or 1080i) in mpeg2 format. In the USA there is no broadcast of 1080p. the reason Comcast moved to 720p60 is that no native TVs are now using interlace format (CRTs) and all streaming must be done in progressive to smart devices and to the streaming website.
