Actually that was not true at the time of the founders but morphing to that was logical over time but non-Americans still have a lot of Constitutional rights.

What could be more American than playing at the Super Bowl?

Since I won't watch the SB as usual this does not affect me, but in the past when I did the collaboration teams were the best.

America’s “culture” is inherently and historically a giant melting pot of immigrants. Or did you mean native Americans?
It’s not a melting pot if you keep your own culture and refuse to assimilate

Had In Living Color weighed in on if they will do a halftime show?

Taxation without representation was a strongly held colonial ideal. Those being in the colonies, being taxed unfairly without due representation from the taxing authority. That places ownership of the colonies with the colonists. How do you equate that to 30 million + illegals in this country subsidizing on American taxpayer dollars?

Who? What rights are being "trampled" and who are the victims of this trampling, specifically?

Well in fairness, that is what makes those criticize the melting pot theory. Forcing groups to conform to a dominant culture can be problematic.

If you refuse to assimilate because you are too tied to your root culture of your home nation, then why are you leaving your home nation?
That's the difference between illegal immigration and legal immigration. Legal immigration, you must wait in line, take tests, pay $10,000 (if that's still the right number) and become Americanized into our society. Illegal immigration has no way of "earning" citizenship. It's a selfish attitude that you deserve citizenship and do not have to pay any price or pay any dues to do so.
There is a work ethic difference between the 2, and i think you can see why.

There is no reason to be poor-mouthing the Amish in this thread.

And if they did I wouldn’t call their culture American or get butthurt if someone inferred that they weren’t “American” even though they were technically American.

Having pride in one's ancestry is great. Refusing to conform to your parent nation and demanding your parent county's natives to conform to your culture is selfishness.
Secondly, those who refuse to learn their adopted nation's language are doomed to low education and low opportunities.

You’re speaking to people who would probably argue that English isn’t “technically” the language of America.

If that were the case, then those born in certain parts of this country and only speaking English would already be better educated than they already are.

quote:That's a fair stance, I just wouldn't go so far as to say a SB halftime show featuring a Spanish-speaking artist is "demanding" Americans to conform to a different culture. We have to recognize that the Super Bowl is a worldwide event, and Bad Bunny is one of the top artists worldwide at the moment.
