100k miles on my ‘15. Zero issues.
Mpg is definitely not 12. More like 15. The 38 gallon tank helps though as far as miles to empty.
I have no bells nor whistles and never really cared for them.

Currently on my third one, no issues. I average 17-19 mpg (small V-8). Just hit 120k miles, I plan on driving it til the wheels fall off.

I have an 2017 1895 Edition . Only thing is no carplay
I installed an Alpine touch screen with bluetooth, carplay, android auto, backup camera in my 2006 Tundra for less than $400. Much better than the JBL CD/Cassette player

2017 Tundra crewmax 5.7L 4x4 with 33” Nitto Ridge Grapplers here. I get.....11.7mpg faithfully. Road trip 12mpg. Love this truck, actually the first vehicle I’ve kept over 2 years. Right at 30,000 mikes on it & the only thing I’ve had done is lock actuator on passenger side went out. Just bought the Toyota Platinum Warranty 8yrs/100,000mile bumper to bumper factory warranty on it yesterday bc I plan on keeping it. Now if Toyota comes out with a new version in the near future (2021) I’ll probably buy it. Allegedly it will have all the upgrades people have mentioned in this thread. Better mpg, better entertainment console, possibly even hybrid.

No way I would choose a GM product over a Toyota, unless you don’t mind wasted time at the dealership. I loved my Tundra. 14 mpg was only 2 mpg worse than my Silverado before it, but the Toyota was heavier and 4x4. Upgraded to a Raptor when I grew into a crew cab, since Toyota half assed the TRD Pro package.

My 2006 had 285000 on it when I traded for a 2019 SR5 this January. Very few issues with the 06.
The ‘19 has a 5.7l with the 38 gallon gas tank. I’ve gotten close to 20 on the highway doing 70mph. around town pulling my landscape trailer around 14. Gas mileage is the last thing a person needing a full size truck looks at.
You can have all those electronic bull shite things found on the American trucks - just something else to screw up. My tundra has just enough to suit me.

My sole reason for going with the limited package. The TRD has smaller rims & less functional features in the cab. Passenger seat is not electric or heated, A/C is not dual climate plus a couple other odds & ends I thought didn’t add up on the TRD. I do wish I had the TRD dual exhaust though, it’s not to loud but has a nice rumble when putting your foot on the gas.

Tundras are the best trucks on the road. It probably weighs 500-1000 lbs more than the base GM of Ford.
I am on my third. First two had 250,000 miles before I sold them. I have never done anything to them other than standard maintenance. Never replaced a part other than brake shoes.
My current one is getting 17.3 MPG according to the display. It is a 2017 double cab. 5.7L.

I have an 05 Silverado Z71, a 16 Silverado 2500 diesel High Country and a 19 Tundra 4x4 in cement gray. I love them all. The Tundra is a great truck and I average 16-17 mpg.

Great truck. Only complaint is that technology offered in Toyota vehicles is the worst in the industry.

The 2500 is a much heavier duty truck than a Tundra.

A lot of people say this, however, my experience is somewhat different. I had 3 Toyota trucks and all 3 were utter garbage. (‘’99, ‘00, ‘14). Contrast that I’ve had a ‘78, ‘84, ‘89, ‘95, three (3) ‘01’s, ‘03, ‘11, and a ‘18. None. Not one issue with any of them. All bought brand new and all put well over 100-200k on them. No motor issues, no mileage issues, hauled, towed large trailers up to 42,000 lbs, etc. Nothing. Nada. Change oil and out gas in them. Tires and keep going. As far as the technology is concerned, the ‘18 has the touchscreen with CarPlay which is incredible for syncing your phone and maps up and all. Toyota doesn’t have any of that stuff. The ‘14 the wheel hub literally fell off going down the road and the bed bolts broke and bent the axle. They are, as my late grandfather referred to them as “Jap Junk”.
My friends all love their Yotas but they only use them to pull their bass boats. I’ve yet to hook one up to a triple axle gooseneck and haul a load of cattle to Oklahoma without having some kind of issue.

Another plus for the Tundra: They only make up about 5% of the fullsize truck market in 2018 so if you want to drive something different than most everybody else there ya go.

I don't have a Toyota Tundra and here's why. I initially was going to get one but then I saw one towing a boat on the elevated section of i-10 east of Mobile and the bed of the truck was twisting wildly. It was apparent to me that they aren't really designed to do that sort of thing.
I set out to get a GMC 1500 but wound up getting a 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ 4x4 because I loved the way those looked and it has all the accruements. Not sure why Chevy only released that exact grill style for 1 or 2 years.
Anyway, I've owned chevy cars before and they were high-maintenance junk. The chevy truck is a totally different story. It's been awesome. I have 114k on it now and it still rides like a dream. Everything on it feels very solid.
