Thanks for the update. Your presence on this board is a true comfort during these trying times of weather hell.
I hope you and your sainted mother (if she’s still with us) are safe tonight.

I'd like to nominate Martin Folse Htv10 and his hurricane tracking stick

I may have a debris-strewn yard and no electricity but TulaneLSU is back so my day just got brighter.
Good to have you back, Friend.

I go back to the 1950's watching Nash...he is still what a New Orleans weatherman should be!!!!
Margaret Orr---would absolutely still!!!! Met her at the Endymion assembly area a couple of years back...she's a sweetie IMO.

This is probably the best written, best researched post on TD. I'm impressed. Thank you.

Friends,
Contritionem praecedit superbia et ante ruinam exaltatur spiritus is one of the few times the Latin is more poetic than the Hebrew. And I think it fits the bill here.
While Katz and his cohort vigorously argued that this storm was headed east of NHC projections and would have substantial impact on Houma, New Orleans, and the Northshore, some armchair weather tenderfeet, many having no connection to New Orleans weather, had the false bravado and arrogance to mock them and WVUE Fox 8, an authority in local weather stretching back to the days of Bob Breck. Bravo to Bruce for stepping from Breck’s towering shadow and showing us why New Orleans’ meteorologists are the best in the world.
Owl, Matthew 5:45. Acts 3:19.
ThibodauxBengal, so good to see you. I hope the land of E.D. White fared relatively well and your family is safe.
BBandits82, I would love to see a Milham in the top three argument. I just do not see it.
TakingStock, Katz sure did. Some here will prevaricate and say he missed the mark. They are quick to downvote threads and posts that compliment Katz. Yet they miss the trees and the forest. But those who actually watched his forecasts know that he absolutely, positively nailed the forecast for Francine. He laid it on the line, risking his decades long public reputation. He was mercilessly mocked. And he was vindicated! I am so proud of Bruce!
Ghosts of Colby and Flashback, thank you for your kind regards, which I have sent to Mother. We briefly lost power last night, but, thanks to God’s protective hand over us, we were spared the worst. I shall be on the roof this afternoon inspecting to ensure there was no damage, as I estimate we had sustained 70 mph with gusts in the 85-90 range. It was reminiscent of the winds we felt in Katrina, though not as long lasting.
Tall Tiger, God’s blessing be with you. I miss my Uptown life and our Prytania home. Please guard it well. Jeremiah 34:9.
LSUBFA83, your warmth and affection are a balm to my tired spirit. Thank you.
Bottom9, we love you too.
Mr. Happy, you flatter me. Please, I hope that once Front Day arrives, and hurricane season is finished, you might join us for hot drinking chocolate.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

You missed it. Nash always first; Breck a distant second.

Friend, you have not included any beautiful, buxom lady meteorologists. Your list is not valid.

Firstly, your comment makes total sense to me considering your user name.
Secondly, I think it would have to be more Walker Percy instead of Faulkner since this is a New Orleans list.

No one beats Martin on Hurricanes, his coverage beats the everliving stuff out of the New Orleans stations
