lsu doesn't treat most quality professors well\
ask any professor

I have always thought those rankings were bullshite - no way places like UVA and UNC are better than GT. They don't rank Tech schools worth a shite.

One of LSU's problems is the "fire 3 professors to hire 1 admin" strategy.

We were in the low 30s before Cowen dropped us 10 spots. And then Katrina dropped us another 10. Just starting to recover.

Tulane girls are really really unnattractive. Lots of social justice warrior types.

Did y'all ever bring back the engineering department
The engineering school never returned as a distinct body after the storm due to Scott Cowen's aim to focus more on the liberal arts. Rather, a few engineering disciplines were annexed by the science department to form the Tulane School of Science & Engineering. The only majors available are Biomedical, Chemical, and Physics engineering. Biomedical engineering is far and away the best major at the school.

I'd say it depends on if they want to go to grad school/research or go into the workforce after they get their undergrad.

It depends on the major. When I tell people in the workplace that Tulane boasts a Physics engineering program, the first question is always "What is that?" So let's discount that one.
All chemical engineering graduates, regardless of university, have gotten hit hard recently given the state of the oil industry. I still did know a number of Tulane guys who got pretty nice gigs straight out of college after graduating in 2015. Still, I think a chemical (or petroleum) engineering degree from UL carries the most weight Louisiana.
Now, while there aren't a great deal of employment opportunities in biotech in this state, Tulane's biomedical engineering department is pretty renowned nationally. Of the guys I know that graduated with this degree, almost all of them immediately got fairly lucrative jobs in the industry in places like the bay area, Boston, Houston, Minneapolis, and Chicago.

Way easier and better to actually talk to. The southern belle complex at LSU and the other state schools sucks.

LSU is full of frumpy middle class bottom tier sorority girls who think they're hot debutantes

Where's UNO? Probably in top 120 I presume

No way. I know most of the engineers hired by the chemical giant I work for come from A & M, LSU, Tech, UT, and Miss State. Rarely a ULaLa grad unless mechanical.

I went to both schools. Social scene was fantastic at both schools and yes Tulane has hot girls. It does feel like you are outside of Louisiana but I sort of liked that feeling of living in NOLA but going to school in the NE type of vibe.
As far as academics there wasn't a comparison between the two but I'll leave it at that so I don't start a war on here as these were my experiences only.
