Are you an idiot, or do you just live life based off of feelings? The budget increases every year. While state funding decreases, they keep raising tuition with the same amount of students. I went back to 2000, and IIRC, the budget has increased like $50-75MM in that time

You can't cloud your vision with LSU's downward spiral. And the bottom hasn't even hit yet.

lsu should probably launch some decent online masters programs. the mba is ok depending on where you want to live and what field your in or want to get into. all the other online masters degrees are just complete bullshite.

lulz. same here. i thought about getting a continuing studies post-bacc degree from tulane and just lie about it being from continuing studies. you can actually transfer to tulane from there or take tulane classes and get a proper degree. something besides applied blah blah technology.

The downward spiral has nothing to do with budget and everything to do with image. For that, we can thank the administration. Go ask any higher-ups about budgeting. They take money from solid programs and good departments to support shitty programs and bad departments. They are so worried about getting grants, they disregard hiring quality teachers and place grad students to teach classes. Who wants to be taught by a grad student?

I'm guessing the extra money goes to administrative positions, because it does not go to the individual colleges. That's the problem.


I have personally spoken to a then provost, now president of a university in Louisiana, and he said there hasn't ever been a budget issue for that university
