Same issue with checking the breast milk. And mothers who do pump must do so at certain intervals. So any trip over a certain period of time they would need to pump.

They make manual hand pumps. The amount that do this is incredibly incredibly small. With ice, breast milk would last in a cooler for over 20 hours. That's plenty of time.

It's a lot harder to hijack or blow a plane up with checked luggage. No access to a gun, knife, or bomb that's set off by hand. Plus little to no chance of survival by the terrorist.

1. Hire better people that costs more money and increases ticket costs.
2. Make the job easier by allowing less items on the planes

There’s a third option: realize that TSA doesn’t make us any safer and go back to less invasive airport screening. It would make travel less of a chore.

I can tell you they routinely find water and soaps out of place I see it routinely.
So we should just let the general public conceal carry and protect ourselves?
Security is actually an incredibly easy thing. We are making it complicated by allowing modern conveniences in the cabin.

I flew from Orlando to D.C. to Vermont and then back the same way with a 4 inch knife in the part of my backpack that holds a drink on the side. Not even inside the backpack. It would have fallen out if turned upside down.
No TSA people caught it.

Ok- maybe I wasn’t clear. I don’t believe the screening done by TSA in the airport where they check to see if you are smuggling water on the plane makes us any safer than pre-TSA screening was. I am willing to concede that checking ID against lists of known terrorists is probably a good idea. But even that process has not been painless.
In short, my firm belief is that we as a society overreact to everything. All the security theater is just that- theater. It makes some people feel better. It doesn’t make us safer.

How many restaurants, sky lounges, or first class meal trays in the airport or on the plane could you take any number of relatively sharp utinsels from?
The real security is in the locking door on the cockpit and the flight attendant using the drink trolley to block the isle when the pilot has to use the bathroom. TSA may not see a knife. They damn well better catch explosives or a gun though.
