LOL. Is it that easy? I left some brownies behind a few weeks ago and figured I didn't need to.

Which makes it scary DFW didn't...
I was in the international terminal too

The caliber of employee is at a McDonald's level. They are interchangeable.
All that is needed is a change in uniform.

The rules are all standard. Whether or not they are enforced is kind of the point of the entire thread.

Fire everyone and hire people who aren't complete retards should be their first recommendation.

Yeah but you acted like it wasn't a rule. Or that Tampa is the only place that enforces it.
I haven't been to an airport that doesn't make you take your clear bag out and in a separate bin.

I'll still never forgive those incompetent society outcasts for not honoring my pre check in a po dunk airport with one security line. I had to ask the guy if he was kidding when he told me to take my shoes off
Posted on 11/9/17 at 9:13 am to shotcaller1
So you flew into a po dunk airport and expected it to be the same?

I’ve never taken my toiletry bag out or used a clear bag since that rule was implemented. Never been flagged.

TSA precheck is your friend.
Even they are inconsistent. At DFW some of them require you to take out your laptop, at others they don't.

How are there hundreds dead? Are you assuming the bad guy can bring the plane down with a handgun or that, like in videogames, handguns have unlimited ammo?
As I said, worst case scenario. That means the worst possible scenario, if you're not tracking, would be the hundreds of people on that plane could die. Worst possible scenario, if the door isn't opened. If the door is opened, thousands can die.
I do know that guns need other components to work, if he snuck a gun in though, maybe he has a knife, maybe he has 400 magazines, we're already on a limb by saying he got a gun on the plane.

We must fly through completely different airports then. I quit using a clear bag years ago and Tampa is the only place that rousts me.

You rule breaker you
I check my liquids, but always hear them bitching at people for the bags.

here is a little diddy about random searches.
When you get ur boarding passes, if you have an SS at the bottom of the ticket, it means you are going to be pulled out of line for a random spot check.
While in Aruba, heading back, my ticket had the SS, and a Columbian guy also got picked. HE was the one who told me about it and what it meant. So, if u see the SS and bottom right of boarding pass, before going through customs/TSA, they going to pull you out of line, so be ready.

security theater.
Exactly this.
The upper level administrators know and admit it too. It's a show put on to scare and intimidate would be crazies. Very much like the DWI checkpoints, all bark and no bite. Only the braindead are caught. Puts a high visibility on overall effort though.
It's never going to be effective in a PC culture either. We all know who to look for in international terrorism, especially involving airplanes. It's not the 80 year old grandma's of any race. It's not the guys in business suits or the mothers traveling with infants/small kids either. PC prevents the TSA from being even minorly effective but it might offend someone. boo freakin hoo

Only reason to check a bag is if you have golf clubs, or a high maintenance wife.

Or I can just drop it off and not worry about carrying one more bag around. I can check booze too.

But they made sure to let me know I was wrong for not taking my iPad out of my bag when I flew back home from Pittsburgh Sunday.
DFW, one of the largest in the country doesn't have a problem with it, but Pittsburgh does.
LaGuardia doesn't want your shoes in a tray, every other airport I've been to wants your shoes in a tray. They literally said you would have to go into a pat down line if your shoes are in a tray.
IAH wants you to basically pulls your pants up to your belly button before going into the scanner. I've never had another airport mention where your pants sit when you go into the scanner.
Lafayette just has a metal detector, no scanner at all.

The only thing i don't check is my backpack with my laptop.
The ones i don't get are the ones who drag a suitcase all around the airport, get to the plane and have to check it there and then wait in line after the flight to get it back.
I don't see how that saves time.

I don't do this either. I have never been questioned about it either.
