Everyone on this board knows that if Trump either never ran for President or lost to that wicked bitch in 2016, we wouldn't be here right now. Regardless of how you feel about Trump or his politics, this should tell you everything we need to know about this country and its institutions (and it ain't good).

I have to say , there’s a shite ton of things i disagree with Trump and his low iq voters on- but sleeping with a porn star then paying her to shut up and go away would literally be the VERY last thing id have gone after him for.. I realize there are illegalities but not much on the grand scale .

Anyone with half a brain sees a civil war in the next 20 years. Both sides have hyped their extremes, and like it or not, this was a show trial that was only engaged due to politics.

I’ll tell you what it means. It means that the last 100 years of being a “ high trust society “ is now officially over. We have transitioned to a “ low trust” culture- whether it be tolerance for street crime, disregard for Constitutional principles, elevation of Party over Rule of Law, judges being defacto prosecutors etc.Pretty much everything. Higher ideals are now buried and Soviet style prosecutions of political opponents will be the norm. We now are like any other fundamentally corrupt State. We don’t trust our bureaucracies or federal agencies. And there is no reason why the Republicans can’t or won’t do do the same.

i don’t think he’s even a bad guy, just a reckless boomer who mostly thinks he’s doing the right thing.
and yes he was only prosecuted for political reasons, which is bullshite too.
but to say with a straight face he didn’t implicitly encourage everyone at the rally to go to the capitol to stop the certification is willful ignorance at best, outright dishonesty at worst.
he shouldn’t be going to jail, he should have been sent home to his mansion with millions of dollars to live a comfortable, non-presidential life.
