Its wonderful that he gets to make this decision for the rest of us.

It's not government's role to police the health of its citizens. That falls in the personal obligation category.

Purposefully targeting flavored vaping pods to children is the problem here.
lol!
They aren't purposefully targeting kids. Show me where they have.
Almost no one vapes the tobacco flavors because they aren't very good. People overwhelmingly prefer the various fruit, dessert, etc flavors.

But menthol cigarettes and other flavored tobacco will still be legal?

Around 80% reported they used vaping liquids that contained THC, the central clue in the case, with investigators hinting that the chemical was likely involved in all of the cases.
So these kids are vaping a product that is already illegal and is making them sick. So the obvious solution is to ban an entire market of products that is not making anyone sick. This would be like if kids were adding crack to their Kool Aid and the feds decided to ban Kool-Aid.

The Food and Drug Administration is currently finalizing its guidance to remove all non-tobacco flavors of e-cigarettes, including mint and menthol, from the market within 30 days.
I don't think it's possible for a regulation to go into effect that quickly. They might have a proposed reg in 30 days, but it's going to be months, maybe years before all the required steps are taken on the proposed reg.

Illicit cartridges giving people health problems? Easy solution: make all cartridges illicit cartridges!

Not dying from food poisoning falls into personal obligation category? You’re right, frick the department of health!

He said "police" the health of its citizens, not "protect" the health of its citizens. There's a large distinction here.

Trump shows his actual liberal tendencies and the faux conservatives on this board lap it up.

It’s kind of insane and makes my head hurt. Politics is less about principles and more about chalking up “wins” these days.

We should all consider that these executive orders can also be written when you don't like the person in the White House. The office of the president has too much power
