It's pretty simple to get into a vehicle with just a screwdriver and a wire coat hanger, if it's locked.

If it is a Chevrolet they just hook to something in the drivers side fenderwell and unlock it and start it. I had a customer with a crew in Houston that lost a truck. The theft was caught on camera and took them a total of about 2-3 mins to unlock, start it and disable the on star. It was all done with a laptop plugged into something in the fenderwell.
