Working on the next con job, no doubt.

FWIW, sexist Gravy is melting pretty hard on FB right now about being called Gravy
Gravy rant...
You know... I've tried to ignore the ignorance that's CONSTANTLY thrown at me. I do good most days. Someone just sent me this to show me a page that was created. This is the latest I've seen, there are about 5 or 6.
My daughter heard me talking and telling someone that there are people who call me "Gravy" Chambers. She got mad about it, not in a crying way, but angry. Angry because as she said it's not right.
What I've come to understand is, when people can't stop you, they demonize you in whatever way they can. They attack what they can attack. Most of these people have no life. They have way more time to spend on social media than I do. I'm too busy actually trying to change some things.
It's cool though, it lets me know I'm doing something right. If there are groups of people who waste their time trying to mock my weight, my words, my everything, I must be shaking up their world something serious.
Just want you to know, I'm going to be right here, pressing the issues even if you don't like it.

Then lose about 200 lbs and take that weapon out of our arsenal. That choice is yours.
Hard to believe that you care about the city when you clearly don't care about yourself or your family by being a coronary waiting to happen.

Bell's replacement WILL be black. You can take that to the bank. Hopefully, she picks someone who is qualified as well.
This is her problem. When you limit the applicant pool to 12% of the country's population, you set yourself up for trouble.
Let's be honest, how many qualified black candidates are out there for this job and then how many of those folks are actually available? Her agenda has set her up for failure. This was a massive blunder.

If she absolutely HAS to hire a black person, she should just go ahead and hire Kip. He would be the most qualified for the job.
Of course, that wouldn't play well with her hardcore constituency. They see Kip as a Tom.

Gravy seems to miss the point that people are not attacking him. They are laughing at him. He puts himself ...all of himself...out there in the public with outlandish & racially hateful comments & expects, obviously, for people to bow & praise him.

I'm pretty sure people have consistently attacked Gary's ridiculous and unreasonable social and political positions. The personal attacks are ancillary to that (and childish.)
His claiming victory on this shows just how delusional he actually is.

Oh I guarantee you that when he applies for his next job, he'll not mention anything about his was fired his position here.

Well, to be honest, many of his followers do praise him and look at him as an advocate for their best interest. That shows just how stupid and ignorant a specific group of our citizens are.

If Bell does end up staying in Baton Rouge, I wouldn't be surprised if Broome hires him for some other position in her administration.

You want to know the best part about Gravys rant, is that u know he has a couple of friends, and they probably call him Gravy a couple of times a day, just to piss him off.
While he was hammering those keys with his sausage fingers, you know he was sweating through that dress shirt, and the keyboard is like the floor under a dog bowl. Just sweat every where. The " key is stuck.

Do you think Troy signed a lease on a place in BR? I don't think it would be a bad idea for him to stick around and team up with Gary Chambers for the betterment of the city.

the advocate goes in on the honorable ms broome:
quote:
Broome should also be disappointed in herself for taking months to fill the job of chief administrative officer, then hiring a con artist and apparently failing to give him a decent background check. "I made a mistake with this important hire and I accept full responsibility," she said this week.
In the wake of the scandal, Broome promised that her office “will continue to serve our fellow residents in an efficient manner as we have since the beginning of my tenure.”
If this is Broome’s idea of efficiency, we’re in trouble.
Broome, who assumed office in January, took longer to pick her top aide than any Baton Rouge mayor in historical memory, and the result was the worst in memory, too.
quote:
It’s curious that Broome, who spent months running for an office she had a very good chance at winning, was so unprepared to fill the CAO position that she needed an exhaustively prolonged search to pick someone.
But then again, her leadership — or lack of it — has produced other head-scratchers. In the wake of serious allegations of wrongdoing at the Council on Aging, the mayor essentially shrugged, suggesting that the current governance structure for the agency seems fine. And Broome sat on the sidelines as a heated Metro Council argument about the agency led to a walkout by Democratic council members. Although Broome doesn’t control the council, she can be an important voice in bringing members together – and holding Council on Aging leaders accountable for their missteps.

This was my take from the beginning. Hell, the Student Government campaigns I was involved with had the Chief of Staff picked out when forming the campaign committee.
