This was the first year we were invited to a multi-county council conference bringing together the most experienced people in several districts including law enforcement, citizen liaisons, sargeants at arms and rank and file.

Very productive meeting, problem solving and best practices sharing. We got access to cutting edge technologies that allowed us to receive live feeds of various violations in real time from several locations.

Frankly I was appalled by what I saw yesterday from illegal fireworks, several boats illegally parked in driveways and on streets, under aged smoking, teens in golf carts on sidewalks, the list goes on and on.

It was a stark reminder that our work is never done. It was a sacrifice to give up a holiday away from family to attend the council but there is no doubt the need continues to grow and I'm proud of the men and women who have stood in the gap to make us all safer.

Pure anarchy. Just glad you’re ok.

I was an illegally parked firework smoking in an underage golf cart on the sidewalk in the quad...

Could have been me.

Really makes you think.

Yeah I would not give up my holiday weekend enforcing any of that.

I caught some teenagers on a 4 wheeler riding in the street. A 20 hour stint in the incarceration shed did them a world of good

Come on baw. I appreciate your service, but this is all misdemeanor stuff. If these are the worst offenses you found, I think we're in good shape.

Did you see anyone cooking meth or selling children on the corner?

Of course he didn't see that. There's a reason that kind of thing hasn't spread to his jurisdiction.

We banned smoking, of anything, in my neighborhood. We patrol with a drug dog routinely and if he smells any kind of smoke coming from your house that’s an automatic $250 fine and if it’s illegal we will report you to the sheriffs department

I plan to buy new bulletproof vests with the proceeds this year

That's scary stuff...just don't know what I'd do if I saw some teens smoking while driving a golf cart, down a sidewalk.... probably just say be careful and carry on with my business. As long as they weren't being entirely stupid about it. You add in the fireworks....that's starting to get stupid... however, it would take the combination of all of the things you listed before I thought something might not be safe...reads as though those were all incidents not related...so go eff yourself before you come in here trying to preach safety.

...Edit to add driving the golf cart around the boat...can't leave that horrible boat on display out of my post.
