I smell a case of dementia coming on and no time in an actual prison. Nursing home, here he comes.

This has become such a country of pussies! That man had a RIGHT to defend himself against an assault, first on his property, then on himself! There was a time when EVERY American man would have backed up the gunman. Those were the days of this country’s accension. Now, we are like a bunch of European metrosexuals, and we will descend to the same irrelevance they have.
Never. A water hose? It takes a pussy to get upset about a hose squirting on his truck.

Is that the very first house on the left? That thing is a frickin' pad

No, but a funny story about that house. I was driving in one day with a friend who'd never been there before. When we came through the gate, he saw that place and said, "Wow, nice clubhouse." (This was about 6 or 7 years ago, before the current owners went crazy with the landscaping and out buildings). I said "It probably would be be, but that's somebody's house."

Al lived on River Cypress Ln., at the corner of McWillville.

I grew up in Metairie, but my parents sold their house a couple of years before Katrina. I knew prices were up, but no idea a place like that was now worth in the neighborhood of $275,000.

My house has gained 25% in value over the past 4 years, and I live in the same area. Could get that price in a heartbeat if I wanted

Yep. I saw how much similar size houses to ours were going for recently.

I tried to sell the wife on selling the house and living in our cars, but she says it would be rough on a toddler.

I'd hate to live there. It's a good location for a tow truck driver, centrally located and with easy access to I-10. But I don't drive a tow truck. I'd hate to have to wear earplugs to sit in my back yard. The traffic noise would drive me

This house isn’t next to the interstate. It’s a decent ways away.
