Can you pull this map for metro Atlanta? I think most of north Georgia is at 14” without a tropical system passing through.

Well looky here at the 00Z GFS...
Does nothing with wave until it is SE of mouth of Miss. River or south of Mobile then sends it westward along the LA coast.
Seems like a totally different solution than the Euro going up the East Coast.
I guess we'll see.

Is the GFS drunk?
I don’t know. It may be an Asian or female driving the system.
06z has nothing until it gets to the Mississippi Sound and skirts it southwest into central Texas.
If you need a football reference, it is like one of those Les Miles riverboat gambler plays that make you facepalm yourself.

The GFS looks to be out to lunch, but can't totally rule it out if the system stays weak. Also, it picks up a bit of support from the 06z GEFS.

Sorry Lake Charles. I know it looks like it won’t but it’s been too long since Mother Nature strapped on a big ol dildo and caught you bending over

And the map has changed. Does anyone know of a heavy rain producing storm that has held together on an northwest path all the way to New Mexico?
