There could be a landfalling tropical system in Florida in 2 days and there is no cone
They need a better system for situations like this
ETA: Ah NHC just announced cone coming at 10

It’s like once it hits the gulf it says “shite, I forgot I was going to South Carolina”.

Weather Underground made a big shift east with their prediction. I'm where the Big Bend starts to bend south. Last night the forecast was around 8 inches of rain over the weekend. This morning I got up and the forecast is around 1 inch for the weekend, with only a 60% chance of rain on Sunday.
No trying to reason with hurricane season.

One of my kids is supposed to fly out of Key West tomorrow afternoon. With nothing named and this much uncertainty, should they just plan to maybe stay an extra day if needed?

Could you imagine being stuck in Key West for a few days with a bunch of hot, sweaty, ripped gay dudes? Horrible.

so this went from "devastating gulf coast storm" to, "Much of Florida is going to get some rain"

The center now looks like it’s forming a little South.

A few days ago there were some predictions of a stall and a shite ton of rain happening.
Things change.

No, it went from the potential of catastrophic flooding IF it stalled which was a legitimate possibility (and still is on the table to an extent) to a more normal, quicker moving system. If that stall happened, especially the way it was modeled for a bit, it wouldn't have mattered how "strong" the system was.
