I agree. I just don't know how we get scared people to agree with us. Hopefully this kid took something away from this. When you read/hear about black parents counseling their children at an early age on how best to deal with the police, it's always stressed to obey orders completely. This kid let his fear override the advice he'd probably been fed his entire life.

The driver and the cop are both stupid jackasses. All the cop had to do was look at the camera and say he was asked to step out of the car and he's refusing. Instead he talked about whipping arse, counted to 3, then after wrangling him out said "how do you like that?!". He sounds like a hick who thinks he's tough and the driver sounds like a pussy brainwashed BLM idiot who was probably escalating the situation just so he could get the attention and victimhood the video would bring him

he was being removed from his vehicle without cause.

You'll enjoy reading what the locals have to say about it on Reddit.
I live next to the Beltway in Fairfax County, so this must've happened close by.

If this happened this year that cop would’ve been fired.
Inspection stickers etc are loopholes for government to take your money and cops to harass you.
Write him a ticket or tow his car. The weed thing was probably made up so they could ravage through the vehicle.

Yes, it is.
Suspended license means you are not allowed to drive. And you know you’re not allowed to drive, and drove anyways.
Driving is a privilege, not a right.

Charles Edward Hewitt moved to Burke Virginia from South Carolina. He is a fan on racist Facebook groups and is a trump supporter. The Virginia State Troopers should not have ever hired him. He looks like an insecure a-hole who was a big deal in high school, but moved here and realized he's useless in the land of MBA's and high paying tech jobs. Cop was probably one of the only non minimum wage jobs he is qualified to do.

The cop doesn't need a "justifiable" reason to ask you to step out of the car. It's within his scope of authority to do so. Pennsylvania vs Mimms says so.

Edit: Good lord people, why do you all think it's controversial to have the opinion that a police officer should be able to control their temper and not enjoy inflicting violence on others?
What makes you an expert on how LE should react and what their temperament should be? Have you done the job before? Are you qualified in responding to highly stressful situations that require you to make instantaneous decisions with life safety's best interest for yourself and others?
This country is currently a boiling pot and everyone should be getting sick of how the left and SJW are dictating how we live our lives day-to-day. He was tired of this guy not complying to his lawful orders, it was time to go hands on!

Pennsylvania v Mimms says the police can request you to step out. Some states have added some restrictions to that and I’m u sure about VA, but in LA you can be told to step out immediately.

So seems like he had a legit reason to be pissed off that he was getting harassed then. I hate the words privileged and the idea that there is "white privilege" but as a white guy who has been pulled over with pot in my car, I have never been asked to let the police search. I firmly believe that the cop acted that way bc he was a roided up douche who was at minimum racially biased.

So without reading too much into this, I will take a guess that The Pussy Nation is calling for all of the police involved to be fired, right? What should they have done- participated in a 12 hour roadside standoff while this idiot shows his arse?
I'm sick of this type of shite. Stop provoking the police on social media. It doesn't make you any less of a douche, Douche.

Right, but the officer also has to not act like he is taking glee out of beating this dudes arse. His discussions, talking should be done calm and not with this over the top bullshite.
when they guy says "officer don't touch me"
he needs to say "sir you either have to get out of the car on your own or I have to pull you out"
if the guy ignores him, or refuses, or tell him if he doesn't comply we will have to use force, taze you, etc and if he continues to do so - officer needs to do his job in a calm and professional manner.
"i'm a fricking specimen and will beat your arse", etc. commentary is just idiotic in today's climate.

I agree.
Police procedural training can fine tune the particulars, but, I'm sure that the training will instruct the officers to use polite language at all times to the suspect, even if you have to taze him or shoot him.

What was he pulled over for?
One thing I'm confused about is why was he ordered to get out of the car? Every time I've been pulled over, they say turn the engine off and stay in my car.
That said, this stop must have been going on for a while for there to already be multiple troopers on scene. And we don't have video of the initial interaction.
ETA: From earlier in the thread.

He refused to get out of the car and they talked to him for about 10 minutes before helping him exit the vehicle. He only suffered a minor abrasion. They found no pot. This happened about a year ago.
All I can say is. End the War on Drugs. This wouldn't have happened if the odor of pot wasn't probable cause.

I’ve been ordered out of my car a couple times and I’m white. Both times stopped for speeding. I calmly complied and amazingly wasn’t arrested.
