haha yep, same. when i was about 26 i lost $800 in a casino playing blackjack (i was single with a good job at the time, so i could financially take the loss without problem) and it burned me so bad emotionally that i literally havent gambled a single dollar in a casino since.

Yeah I just quit doing it. Kind of funny but I can run a $200 bar tab up and not feel bad about it. IDK why gambling makes me so sick.

i feel like a complete sucker and rube if i lose anythign to a casino. it's a visceral reaction, more than if i just accidentally lost $100 out the car window or something. i think it's because you go into a casino KNOWING that the place is designed to ruthlessly and callously take your money, and then you do it anyways, and it's like...how could i be so fricking stupid.

Spot on. I know it's rigged to beat me but I played anyway.

I personally like Rock Paper Sissors.

Actually someone made that into a slot machine.

Heck there is even a claw machine slot.

But that is even sketchier than the ones at Wal-mart or a game room.

I never saw the Rock Paper Scissor slot machine in New Orleans or Mississippi, but one time at IP and the Golden Nugget in Biloxi they had the Claw Machine for a few weeks.

I would love to hear some of you voters explain to me what "strategy" you use to improve your odds of winning at Roulette.

First strategy would be to not play Triple 0 tables

How is this downvoted?

Roulette has the worst odds of any table game. Vegas can get away with that because people are dumb, and it’s the simplest table game for people to understand.

Apparently the casinos have figured out that people have gotten even dumber. The player now loses almost 8% of every single bet.

0/00 Roulette (not the kind mentioned in OP) has some of the best odds in Vegas, behind only baccarat I believe (Red/Black or Even/Odd).

ETA: And Pai Gow

There ain’t another game you can play other than those three, with strategy or without, that gives you better than 47.4% chance of winning 2 to 1.

The fact that you are of the belief that your craps strategy pays better than that is quite the sucker take indeed.

Betting red/black or even/odd pays 2 to 1 with a 47.4% chance of winning.

Please list all of the games with better odds. TIA.

What about Pai Gow poker? I thought that was close to a 50/50 game, too, and it makes its money on people playing the bonus and going for big money

Easy. If you bet correctly Craps, also if you play the right strategy, Video poker. Jacks or Better.

Now no matter how you do, the house always has the winning edge, but playing with no strategy is a sucker bet at best. I'll put my money on red, no today I'm putting it on black.

Back in my law school poker days sometimes we'd have to wait 2-3 hours to get on a table, so we started playing pai gow poker for points/drinks, b/c it was basically 50/50.

honestly? i usually stick to playing around the 0/00s

that means I would split the 0s, cover 1/2/27/28 which are the numbers immediately next to them on the wheel, then 9/10/13/14 which are next to those numbers.

if the dealer is around the 0s for the night then it'll pay off for me, if not, then I'm shite out of luck

no doubt a shite 'strat' but it beats just arbitrarily throwing chips at random numbers anyway.

this is if you elect to play inside, though. obviously most will play outside black/red, odd/even, or 1st/2nd/3rd sections anyway.

One of the insidious things about triple zero in LV is some casinos don’t put “000” on the betting layout, on the wheel, or on the results display. They put a casino logo or something like that in its place. It’s disguised from the view of the average player.

I can’t believe the way blackjack rules continue to deteriorate in LV. I don’t think you can find a $5 game anywhere/anytime on the Strip and 6:5 is more and more common. The average player doesn’t have the bankroll to weather a bad swing at a $25 table when they hit soft 17s, 6:5 payout, low deck penetration, etc.
