Tree removal costs

Same initial question in every one of these threads.

You want two meth heads with a ladder and a chain saw or do you want a licensed AND INSURED tree company to do it?

Certainly depends on level of difficulty but if it's in the front yard and they can climb it and take down most of it fairly safely usually between four and six hundred.

If you want the stump grinded add another hundred and fifty.

If it's in the back and you need a crane or something very difficult it can easily get over $1,000.

But I'd say average 400 to 600

1500 for 1 tree 60' feels high.

Best to get two or three quotes most of the tree guys are within $100 of each other

I've got two live oaks I'm struggling with this decision to keep or remove them. One is impacting drainage from the yard with the root system, the other's roots are creating a mess of a driveway buckling/cracking.

I don't want to remove them because they're healthy, beautiful trees, but I also don't want to deal with the impacts of their root systems much longer.

My husband sells tree work. It really depends on a lot if factors. People do get sticker shock if you have never had work done before. I've heard of single trees going to upward of 5 or so thousand dollars. But if it's a regular ole tree I would budget 1500 or more.

Which is why I'm even considering it in the first place...

I got a guy that's doing it for $100 a tree, but all hes doing is dropping it and cutting it up in sections

depends of if they have to cut it into pieces to remove it, or can the cut a few branches then pull it over then cut it up

look at it this way, his crew gets paid by the hour. the longer they are there the more it will cost you.

it may be cheaper to address the drainage and the driveway.
