Sounds great to me. It's the wife that will be fussing because we are getting to disney later than we should...
There is one minor problem, however.

Law enforcement in the area is dealing with several gruesome homicides along Highway 27 between Buckville and Mayo. They've called in the FBI. It appears that several motorists have run over tetrahedral nails, gotten flat tires, and while they are changing the flat tire, they are taken, raped, and murdered.

Law enforcement suspects a truck driver over the age of 55.

As a result of the murders, traffic has greatly decreased between Buckville and Mayo. Fortunately, the reduced traffic has reduced the rate of the homicides. I'm sure the murderer would love to increase traffic on Hwy 27.

Driving through that area, I saw some absurd driving going on.

Veering across multiple lanes at 100+ mph.

Sudden stops of all lanes for no apparent reason, for several minutes in some cases.

Ah Perry. I remember the smell of the paper mill back in the sixties as we passed through.

Alt 27 will also pass thru the beautiful horse farms west of Ocala

This! We did an AB&B on a horse farm in Ocala a few years back. Super peaceful and great area.

I did this route last week. Ate at Bert's Big T. Was impressed. There's a rest area just north of Perry that literally has no one in it. Great route

I might have to drive to Orlando in June, does this count for that?
