Ashdown, AR. Dated a girl from there for a while. Place is a shithole. Actually got myself escorted out of town by their ever-vigilant police department. Apparently making laps around the high school track in a Thunderbird was frowned upon....
Ultimately, I was told to leave and never return for various miscreant acts, including some light instances of vandalism. Not sure about the efficacy of their directive some 30 years later, but that place is such a shithole, that I can find no conceivable reason to ever return.
Amusing anecdote: The girl I was chasing later sent me a clipping from the local newspaper about the event(s). They didn't have my name, but they listed out a pretty good litany of the shite I did over the course of my 24 hour visit to their humble town. Good times.
I did eventually look up the girl on FB twenty-five years later, and I dodged a major bullet there.
So, yeah, for me, Ashdown will forever be the worst overall place in that shithole that is Arkansas.

Stayed in Springdale last weekend for the game. Tried to get out and it was beyond trashy.

I’ve been to Arkansas 3 times and it’s undeniable that parts of the state, outside of the towns, are beautiful. That being said, the people are very methy looking

I live like four miles from Arkansas and I never go there. I don't know people who live there.
This metro literally ends at the river. Our expansion goes very far east and south. Cross over into Mississippi without noticing much difference. But that river kept Memphis from ever having a western side.

Marion is the shittiest town I’ve seen in Arkansas. It’s really terrible, like Shreveport-esque. The whole delta area is hell as I’m sure many of y’all are aware.

I’ve always thought it was weird that the heart of Memphis is like a mile from the state border and nobody lives on the other side of the bridge. West Memphis wouldn’t entice me either.

Let me help cement my hometown of Crossett as the shithole of Arkansas. After the lovely wedding last week I go look at our towns gossip page and see the Ashley County parole officer and her husband have been arrested for burglary and meth. Also the lady running for mayor calls City Hall dropping N bombs. Typical weekday for Crossett.

There is a very fine line between ghetto and trashy in AR. Pine Bluff, West Memphis, Blytheville, Jonesboro and Little Rock=ghetto. ElDorado, Texerkana, Monticello, Conway, Russellville=trashy. NW Arkansas is the only decent area in the whole state and I grew up in Southeast Arkansas

Pine Bluff and West Memphis are strong candidates. Osceola and Blyetheville are contenders. Dermott Arkansas would be my choice.

Truth is moving from JC to Monroe to Baton Rouge has shown me one thing, we're all a LOT more alike than we think.
I would say any town on the delta all the way down into LA is equally trashy and super poor. Its sad really sad to be honest.

Everywhere except NW Arkansas is crap. To the guy who stayed in Springdale, you don’t go out in Springdale.
