No, whatever the bills are, she pays her half (that are in her name) and I pay mine. For those that are higher, then I just Zelle the difference or she does that for me.
Funny the down votes my post got when it's setup for neither of us to complain about the others spending.
And if the worst ever happens, I don't have to worry about her draining my account or me draining hers.
For those of you that have joint accounts, you're retarded.

We do similar. We have a joint savings account that we each contribute to and contribute agreed upon %s of our income to retirement and personal savings. We discuss big purchases that would use money from those accounts. Other than that my money is my money and vice versa.

My wife has a job
Not because we need the money, but because she suffers from clinical depression. We learned loooong ago that if she sits around the house, she begins to spiral.
Having a place to go, and a thing to do really helped her.
We split household chores 70 her, 30 me
She defers to me in household decisions and money matters.
Not a trad wife, but we like it.

If it works great, but my wife doesn't have any hobbies or things outside of home life to keep her mind occupied, it goes to negative places quickly.

I'd pay good money to see the wife's response to each post in this thread

A women doesn’t decide one day to be a trad wife.
It’s a father daughter dynamic.
If dad is dominant in household and daughter respects dad
Bingo!!!

Mrs. PJ took care of all the bills. Less I had to worry about. I was awful with money while I was a drunk so I let her have it… now I have to transition to taking care of everything myself. Still getting used to it.

Personally, I've always been attracted to and had relationships with women who are ambitious in their professional life, highly educated, morally conservative, quick-witted, family oriented, raised in a well-to-do / stable household, and extremely intelligent.
And if that sounds impossible to find, move to Dallas. They are everywhere.

Trad husbands usually end with problems because it goes against human nature. I know from experience. Going against human evolution usually ends with disaster, this isn’t any different.

I'm never married so I can't answer for myself.
My mom didn't work until my two brothers and I were in school. She went back to school, finished her bachelors degree, got her masters, and worked her way from being a teacher to being an administrator for our parish school system. Worked until she was 73. My dad retired before she did. She's 89, legally blind, and is still one of three teachers of a Baptist Sunday School class of couples her age.
