8k with those miles? You got one hell of a deal. Stock 100 series with between 150-200k miles sell for 20k here easily.

Are you serious?? Lol I wonder what a 99 with all maintenance up to date with new belt and water pump would pull up there. 160k miles on it now and of course runs like a champ. Only mod I did was give those running boards the boot. Looks so much better without them imho.

That was the first thing I took off of mine. Ruins ground clearance for a shitty look.

What color is it? If it’s black or green in close to mint condition, I can almost guarantee you will get close to 20k here.

I’ll buy it right now unseen for 10. I’ll slap some 285 BFG KO2’s on it and flip that real quick

That’s a pretty common color, but I bet you’d get at least 15k if not more for it if it’s in excellent, minimal undercarriage rust, condition.

A little bit of rust but nothing a wire brush, a few free days off, and some underbody treatment couldn’t fix lol. Had a co worker try to buy it off me a couple days after I bought it. Like vultures circling haha

Toss a roof rack and some tires on it and watch how many offers you get

I’d hold on to it if I were you. Mine sits in the shop and I drive a Sierra as my daily. Black Betty only comes out for special occasions

Can confirm. I paid just under $20k for my ‘06 with 116k last year. Its an 8/10 inside and out. Zero rust. With a weekend of time, I could get $23k now even after putting on 20k miles.

Clean 100s are more expensive than early 200s now. $8k is borderline basketcase money.

I’ll love my LX, but I’ll agree with a previous comment that it can be boring on a daily basis. But when it’s loaded down, chewing up highway miles and cruising along unpaved roads, it’s tough to beat.

Damn. I have a friend with a 2020. He was having a tough time trying to find one a year or so ago and ended up getting buying it from a dealership in Ohio.

Is this a bad thing for land cruiser owners?

They are commonly require a nationwide search. The dealer mentioned in the OP sells at invoice (or better) and has an excellent reputation in the LC community. It’s an easy shopping process as the only options are color and rear TVs so you just need to get the right price.

It's a niche vehicle, many of which will be the first to go before manufacturers have to quit producing combustion engines.

Besides including basic tech for today’s standards, the LC also needs a total redesign. The current model looks like a soccer mom car from the mid 2000s. They should make it look more like how it was originally designed.

RTI score of 661

I've daily driven a long gravel rig with much more than that. It sucked.

My daily now has an RTI of 421 stock. It is considerably better than that now with no rear sway bar and better front shocks And UCAs. But a wide frame and short arms means it will never be amazing without going wider.

We had a 1994 model when I was in high school. That thing was a tank and turned some heads at the time. Parents got 13 trouble free years out of it.

This. A 4Runner today is way more comparable to the old land cruisers
