I cant imagine they wont....I know if I was a bar owner I would....although it wouldnt make any difference...it's not like they will pay up if you win

I am certain this will help unemployment.

The craziest thing about this whole deal, seriously, is that they are just guessing. There is no hard data to tie infection rates to the bar or the FQ or crowds. None. But they think it is dangerous so they are imposing draconian measures with no real authority to do so.

They are correct earlier in this thread. Someone needs to drag the administration into court and make them provide real answers and reasoning.

How many of them have lost the Mardi Gras revenue they expect each year? Even the big boys will hurt from this one. Need to form some type of class action. Unless they plan on paying people for lost revenue, I think this will be the final nail in the coffin for a lot of small businesses down there.

The Facebook comments during these press conferences are just surreal. Hard to believe some of these people are real

If this woman gets reelected after ALL of this... I may have to sadly refrain from visiting my lovely home town for that duration.

She said “I’d rather be accused of doing too much than doing too little.”

The irony is she’s doing too much because she did too little. She had a year to put in place a Mardi Gras contingency plan. But instead of coordinating with city officials and business owners she waits until the week before and just lazily shuts everything down.
