I worked with a group of guys who decided they'd just get together and yell the "N word" (so infantile that an adult would feel compelled to type that) at each other until it lost its power. Pretty mixed group with at least 2 blacks. It was weird but certainly no weirder than this belief that a word gives you reason to trash a restaurant.

I Remember working nights and one of my black coworkers came from BR, and there were things he did I just did not get. And we were talking one night and I said “I just don’t get you, you are an enigma to me”
Let’s just say the next few seconds were VERY tense when he said “what did you just call me!?”

Apparently, in Mandarin, the word they use for "whatever" sounds very similar to the n-word.
At least that is what I was told by a guy married to a Chinese girl. And he says her family says it a lot.
So no reason to attack someone.
