Drunk people make easy targets. Bourbon street is the ultimate epicenter of dumb drunk tourists.
If you want to stay alive then don't walk around by yourself down dark alleys drunk as shite in a city that you are not familiar with.
^This is probably a good guideline for any city you are in.

But seriously...there has to be a way to step up police presence in the areas where tourists are drawn to.
New Orleans depends on this kind of business.

I think they need a PMO like Blackwater running security rather than NOPD.

The DD is always packing heat when we hit the quarter up, Culcha eliminator ACP.

I hope he learned his lesson. Don't walk around a.) after dark b.) without a bodyguard

NOPD has 500 less officers than it did in 2010 with nearly 100,000 more people in the city since that time

At the pace the city is on, murders will actually be down from 2016.
I know that doesn't support the idea of New Orleans is getting worse, but facts seldom come in to play in these discussions.
Also, doesn't help that these assaults are really what should concern most of this board.

That's all you can say after such a senseless act of violence?

What about other violent crime metrics? I have no idea what they say but there's more crime stats than just murder rate
Posted on 9/19/17 at 1:44 pm to NIH
Drrrr I'm surprised this wasn't in Florida. Drrrr.

Completely agree. I don't have an answer there. The assaults seem to be up, but it could be more coverage or actual numbers.

Things that are frowned upon... like stop and frisk tactics.
