PDS - Potentially Dangerous Situation
Posted on 12/14/22 at 12:30 pm to JudgeHolden
The PDS (particularly dangerous situation) watch means high confidence of numerous, probably strong, tornadoes this afternoon across the watch reason.
Unusual to see SELA in one.
Not so usual for Southern Mississippi and Alabama.

They needed it. I'm surprised it didn't come earlier.

My job doesn’t have time for this. They never even warned employees or anything. Safety walked through awhile ago with no mention acknowledgment of anything all the while everyone’s phones are going off.

Certainly hits all the criteria for one.
That NI tornado was the canary in the coal mine.

How does the storm coming out of Madisonville not have a warning?

That attitude ultimately fricked Amazon in Indiana last year.

Two tornadoes have touched down in New Iberia.

It should. I can kind of see why they haven't warned it, but on a day like today....
