Right?
Office manager keeps walking around very confidently telling everyone we won’t get any bad weather in br. I hope she’s right but it’s getting vv annoying.

Why would they follow through with plans to take it down today? Assuming this is planned maintenance and not emergency repairs.
They were in the middle of the work days ago. This is planned for all, or most, radars across the country. They run two crews who work in different areas. They run 12 hour shifts until the work is done. It usually takes around 2 weeks or so to complete.
They rushed the KLIX work to get it working to an extent. They're doing testing and troubleshooting on the fly.

Just got warned on the Pine Grove/Greensburg one. Fifteen cell phones around the house all blowing up.

My mind is currently fricking blown that someone in the NWS with a brain could have at least called an audible and said not today.
Are they all bots there or something?>

That one car looks to be turned sideways, and all the other vehicles have windows blown out.

They had forecasted these conditions for the south for multiple days in advance… they could have performed the maintenance before the storm line even reached Texas…

KLIX fricking up again as usual

So this shows a tornado hitting south of Baton Rouge about 1245? Am I reading that right?

This is a complete rebuild of the support structure and a check of all components. It takes a while.

Im sure they are good people, and im just frustrated. But there is just no reasonable excuse to have this going on right now with a major metro in 15% hatch window. Absolutely zero.
Mistakes like this can cost a life.

That's the general idea if it holds together and is on the ground. Be ready to take shelter if this storm continues to be warned.
