Woke up to a Tornado Warning, but the cell fizzled all the way down to not even being a Severe Thunderstorm by the time it got to us. Whew.

Lots of rain, lightning and thunder though...

Powerful jet streak, looking like some embedded tornados likely, nothing real strong though

meanwhile... in Nebraska with this system... there's a snowstorm with a "snow squall warning" on it... visibility is down to .25 of a mile and wind gusts consistently up to ~50 mph

the one you're warned for is the southern cell

My point is that the atmosphere over AL isn't ripe for severe storms yet. It'll be primed once the warm front moves north later today.
