I'm fairly certain NOLA is considered to be the most miserable summer weather in the US including Phoenix. It's extremely humid with malicious dew point numbers and it's an extremely wet area. Plus the threat of hurricanes.

I keep up with a few cities on my weather app, and it still shocks me to see NOLA at 83 degrees with a heat index of 95 at 8am.

That people back in the 1700 and 1800s settled in the numbers which they did in South Louisiana blows my mind.

It’s another 1000 year rain storm man! Garden District just registered 3.6 inches of rain in the last hour and it’s still coming down.
