To clarify the topic is about wiping. Not how the tp is unrolled.

Does it even matter for guys? Chicks are supposed to do front to back so they don't get infections, but I've never heard a recommendation for men.

I guess I'm a front to back? Anyway, I hang the TP so that it hangs close to the wall and not away. I don't like hanging TP extending out into the space of the bathroom.
If I see the TP is hanged incorrectly in a strange bathroom, I will correct it.
