When I think of Jasper, I think of some white new-age mountain hipster with a wispy mustache who identifies himself as a feminist and plays the sitar in a modern folk band

Most of the Jaspers I know (and I know a few) are old farmers or ranchers that are still more of a man today than half the males on this board.

Some of those are just plain awful. They will hate their own names as they grow up

In a thread about baby names for 2014, your old rancher Jaspers are no longer applicable.
I know two Jaspers that are both liberal progressive nancies, both under the age of 32.

CoCo is not going to be happy after she sees this list.

We named our little girl Finley. First name we both liked. Unique, classy, means "Fair Warrior"

Our girl's name is bolded in the OP
But it wasn't a very popular name 4 years ago. Wife takes pride in that it wasn't a popular name either.

My name was tough growing up with because kids are unimaginative a-holes. Now every adult I meet really likes it. Named after my grandfather.

have a friend named Asher, I never would have guessed its so popular though. Atticus sounds like a name from the 1500s in Greek civilization
Asher was one of the tribes of Israel. A son of Jacob. So its an old Hebrew name. OP can relax.
I knew an Atticus in HS. Its a Latin name.

I was trying to be original, I never would have thought it would have been #2 on the popularity list.
