Which ever city you choose, you make double that area’s per capita income (i.e. 128k in NYC v 85k in Houston). 200k people or more.

For me personally..

1. San Antonio - Low COL, good nightlife, hill country, bad arse golf resorts, relatively clean, and good schools.
2. Boston - High COL but easily the best city to live in the NE. Endless shite to do and an overall enjoyable place. Has less trash and trashy people than NYC/Jersey/PHI etc...
3. Scottsdale - Booming economy, good entertainment/food. NO WINTER

To be fair the San Antonio area was home to a prominent Hispanic population way before 1982..or 1882 or 1782..

And

Nashville

Since you qualified it at "large cities"

- Denver
- Vancouver
- Barcelona

If it was any size, I would have thrown Charleston and Charlottesville, VA in there
