In the most shocking bit of news you’ll read all day, journalism degrees come in at #1 in a landslide. Makes sense considering how many journalists seem to hate themselves and everyone around them…

Also a surprise is that degrees where you actually make money and contribute to society in a positive way are among the least regrettable choices:

That human resource management degree making the top 10 is a little suspect, however.

It’s weird seeing nursing on the least regrettable list considering how much complaining those women do.

So, programs that lead to gainful employment are not regrettable and those that feed the imagination are regrettable.

I couldn't imagine being a teacher and having to babysit a bunch of dip shits all day that come from broken homes. Then you have their mom calling you and cussing you out, telling you how lousy of a job you're doing. I'm sure these scenarios were never discussed in their college classes.

Pretty much. You don't have to waste money on a useless degree to have an imagination.

Journalism has a lot of issues and a good chunk of it, IMHO, are caused by the mindset imposed that they should “make a difference” rather than “report the news.”

A lot of them tend to be miserable frickers because they are self-important in their views and get pissed when the rest of the population doesn’t follow their lead.

If I could do it over I’d definitely major in criminology. Forensic science reaches into every facet of the human condition. I’m a big picture type of person and this appeals to me greatly.

HR tends to make a lot less than the people they are working with, which means they tend to get “fringe benefits” of fricking with employees to get their jollies to make up for it.

You can get a job with that degree but it isn’t a well paying job or necessarily a good one.

mostly not surprising.

i think alot of people would be surprised by "biology" or "biological sciences".

probably a lot of people majoring in that trying for med/dental/vet schools but not good enough to get in. without the advanced degree those are worthless.
