I would say the same if you are in a lot of aspects of business.

It seems like more something for people in other areas to get exposure to business than for people in business to heighten their abilities.

Psychology on the least-regretted list. Seems like another degree that doesn’t create much value without a masters or doctorate. Do the majority of psych majors actually become psychologists of some sort?

I had to get my M.Ed. to become licensed as a therapist (among other things like supervision, clinical hours, etc).

The few folks I still talk to that did undergrad psych are mostly therapists, CADC (substance use counselors), or work in an HR capacity (this group is folks who decided not to pursue a graduate degree).

There’s some utility in a psych degree if you know how to maximize it.

human resource management degree making the top 10 is a little suspect, however.

You would be pissed to know what our annual salaries are. That's the only reason I am still in HR - pay is to much to leave.

Do most HR jobs even require degrees?

MBA seems like a waste of money if you want to just do accounting.

Well I wanted to go back for my Masters because even if I decide to stay in education, a Masters will help me move ahead with other jobs. If I go for a Masters of Education I can't use that outside but I can use the MBA in both fields. And of all the MBA specializations, accounting looks the most interesting to me because I don't want to just do a general MBA with no focus. Plus, I have very little experience and have been teaching for 6 years so I figure having an advanced degree will also help me get hired. Hopefully anyway.

I honestly thought nursing would be on both list.

The best thing about nursing is there is a variety of things you can do with just a bachelors degrees. Throw in the master's route and there are even more.

Biology is pretty much worthless unless you get into MD, DVD, DDS or PA school. Or get a MRS MD, DVD, DDS, or PA

Interesting - That was my major and never worked a day in that field directly, although as a manager, you are involved to some extent.

I have a poli sci degree with a minor in sociology. There are plenty of successful people that have poli sci degrees. Any degree > no degree.

As long as you have a degree, it often doesn’t matter.

Why would anyone want to be a teacher in today’s society in insane. The pay is horrible. Most of the kids have no parenting or respect for anything. Spend hours of your free time grading and lesson planning only to be cursed out and threaten by students and ignorant parents constantly.
