What kind of time traveling shite you are at where you swipe the card before finished scanning?

I'm baffled by this string of words.
If I had to guess: The man/wife combo loaded groceries onto the conveyor belt while cashier was still working on the items placed there by OP. The cashier asks OP if the oblong green orbs in a plastic produce bag are, in fact, jalapenos. Guy/wife combo are concerned because they have placed their own jalapenos on the conveyor and are concerned that OP has claimed them as his own--thereby achieving a status of 2x the necessary jalapenos. Anyway, after realizing the OP is not intending to claim their hard-earned jalapenos, they grow curious as to how much a small bag of peppers (such as their own) may ultimately cost. Accordingly, after OP has vacated the area near the card reader, they approach the card reader which contains a running log of items/prices. The print is small, but it definitively lists the items being purchased. By carefully checking the log, the man/woman combo can be doubly assured that the OP is not a jalapeno thief, and, as an added bonus, they know the approximate cost of their own bag of jalapenos.

Was checking out and a man and his wife bring their cart up and start unloading. Cashier as if it was jalapenos and the guy charges over and bends over my stuff to make sure I'm not pulling a fast one when I answered yes. Thought it was odd and didn't think much of it. I swipe my card then start loading my cart while the cashier is scanning my items. Turn around he is has his hands doing something on the credit card reader. I yell "excuse me sir" as I charge him and he runs back behind his wife. Don't understand what happened, I have never done something like this before. Guess thought he was stealing but honestly don't know because at the time there was zero thinking involved. It was scary because I wasn't in control when it happened. Any one have such a experience? TL:DR While loading my cart some guy is trying to steal my card info off the reader. When I saw him tried to Hulk smash him and he ran and hid behind his wife

You are one of THOSE people. When cards could still be swiped (won't work with chip cards) you could swipe the card as soon as the cashier scanned the first item you could get most of the transaction finished prior to the total coming up.

I tried to read your post this morning and couldn't get past the first few sentences. Tried again just now and the same result.
What the hell are you rambling about?
