I actually enjoy 12/26 - 1/1 better than the days preceding 12/25. Decorations and lights are still up and Christmas music still on XM Chanel 4. There is actually time to lay on the couch and watch all the recorded Christmas movies. All errands are run, gifts bought, wrapped, delivered. Food cooked and eaten. satellite relative visits are done. As a bonus, there's lots of good football to watch. 12/26 - 1/1 needs to be a holiday unto itself. It is truly my favorite time of the year.

Agree with OP, 1/2 is always one of my least favorite days of the year because it marks the end of the holiday season (which is my favorite time of year).

I agree with this. Only time of the year I get a week off work to sit at home doing nothing
