He wants out before st George comes to fruition. Don’t blame him.

They’re collapsing under the weight of their own stupidity

Imagine working for 10 years and this is the only credits to your name

Along the way, he helped secure victories for which the organization was able to claim at least partial credit, including passage of a dedicated tax to fund the Capital Area Transit System; increased awareness about issues like food deserts in north Baton Rouge; lack of health care access in underserved neighborhoods; and opposition to the St. George incorporation effort.

Rather, he says, he requested the move more than a year ago in a meeting with Perkins, a longtime community organizer with the Chicago-based Industrial Areas Foundation—with which TBR is affiliated—and who first brought the IAF to Baton Rouge in 2008 at the invitation of several local black pastors.

No,no,no....these groups aren't socialists

Wish I could put "starting conversations" as a keystone of my resume

Would you bullet point “starting conversations” under Skills?

Or would you describe each conversation started under Work History?

Probably if First UMC had not left TBR then he might still be around.

Even if our tax abatement system needs changes, these left wing socialists were the wrong people to lead the effort. The community is more divided than before, but that's a hallmark of their trademark usage of agitation. I'm sure they'd consider this a sign of success.

They always use faith based groups as cover to make them seem apolitical. When, in actuality, they use those organizations to push an agenda within the church to advance their politics as well as create foot soldiers. Go look at the TBR church member list. Most are black churches which are notorious for preaching less about God and more about politics. TBR knows the pastor of a black church is basically the king/queen of the community that can convince the congregation that what they're doing is right but also what God wants.

What a bunch of idiots. They really hurt the industry business in BR for no damn reason. They thought ITEP was the problem and then realize they aren’t the problem. Bunch of damn fools

"Raised awareness about food deserts"'...
They just loooove "raising awareness but never do anything constructive
If they're so very heart broken about this-then they need to pool, their own money & build it. Or shut up.
But yeah rats from a sinking ship.
The best part is it's their own fault.
