God Bless You for the grace to think of others in your time of greatest sorrow.

What a wonderful Father your precious son Jeff was blessed to have by his side.

I am so very sorry for your loss, and praying for you and your loved ones. Words of comfort fail me this morning, but know that all here are with you in spirit.

I'm so sorry for your and your family's loss. A Father's love for his son is a special thing. I'm sure your son knew how much you cared for him, and he was fortunate to have parents who loved him the way you did...just as you were blessed to have him as your son.

Sorry for your loss. Losing a child is one of the hardest things a parent can face.

And fallguy, did this friend have a last name that is a type of large bird or construction equipment. What a battle he had.

The guy I'm referring to was a friend of mine in HS. His name was Casey. We've lost touch over the years, but to my knowledge he's still alive at 45/46.

Gotcha.

I was referring to close family friends of my family in BR— son of similar age (a little younger) fought CF in the most gut-wrenching, courageous manner. Died in 2022.

My prayers are with you and your family, PH.

I grew up with a set of brothers with CF who never made it out of their teens. Truly a terrible disease and I've always had a soft spot whenever I hear of someone with CF. Your boy is in a much better place now and quite amazing how long a life he lived.
