It’s a fad. It’ll go away once they realize how gay it looks.

Hell, they were all eating tide pods this time last year

quit smoking before vaping was a thing, but I wonder if it's easier for kids to use and avoid getting caught?

Absolutely. A Juul is the size of a thumb drive and you just press the button and inhale on it. It would be easy to step in the bathroom or out of sight and hit a few puffs and there is no smell that sticks to you

On the big tobacco company thing, I saw where Phillip Morris is planning on completely phasing out tobacco cigarettes in the near future.

They are moving on to the original cash crop Martha Washington used to have ready for George after a hard days workin the field. Marijuana is where the future will be for Phillip Morris. They have already started phasing out their tobacco fields in NC and lobbying the legislation for legalization.

I can confirm that the high school ids are using these at an alarming rate. I don't even write kids up for them anymore. I just tell them not to use it in my classroom.

And they’re starting to use THC vapes at school now and getting caught. They need to cut that shite out before it ruins it for the rest of us.

They should let the high energy kids that distract others rip the THC ones though

One draw back is that it's disgusting. All those cups everywhere with dip juice, yucky!

I may end up being the minority but I tried using a vape to quit smoking. It hurt my chest way worse than smoking did. I'm still not convinced that there isn't going to be a huge backlash eventually when they figure out that vaping poses some really serious health risk in its own right.

I bought a Juul to keep from smoking socially on the weekends. Worked great, except I started smoking the Juul during the week. I have since stopped that too, but I didn't feel an affect on my lungs much at all. I run, and I felt no difference to my lower respiratory system from Juuling when on a run.

The only thing that it really affected for me was it dried out my sinuses.

You don't even have to hit a button.

I call b/s on this comment. There is no button on a Juul.

And you can just rip one lightly and blow it down into your shirt or backpack in class.

I've pulled weed vapes in movie theaters plenty of times and done the shirt blow

When I was a chain smoker in college, if I didn't smoke, I was an angry, mean psychopath that would binge eat and bite my fingernails. I couldn't really think straight because I was just thinking about running to the gas station and grabbing a pack. fricking brutal. First drag of a cigarette would send wave of warm comfort across my body.

Wtf is wrong with you

I was a pack to 2 pack a day smoker from a junior in high school through college.

I've not smoked for up to a year at a time. Usually keep a back of tobacco or a pack of cigarettes on hand.

Last year I bought 10 packs for the year. One is still sitting in my dash with 19 cigarettes in it.

Is it enjoyable? Sometimes. Is it all-consuming? Nah.

If I ever catch my kids caping I’m taking them to the store to buy real cigarettes.

Well I quit in college as well.

But at one point I was 2 packs a day at least. Didn’t help I drank 6-7 nights a week.

Well at least they're doing something wrong. Hell most of them refuse to drive, have sex, do drugs, or go outside. I applaud this development. Vape it up, kids.

Look up the chemicals used in e juice. None are cancer causing. Nicotine is no different for an adolescent brain than caffeine is. Don’t @ me

Except many use vape juice that has zero nicotine in it. I know a lot of folks that work in local bars, turned to vaping to get around cigarettes, now just vape without any nicotine because the habit is more of an oral fixation than anything else. Know others that have never smoked cigarettes that are big into vaping because of hobbyist aspects, they know more about Ohm's Law and DC circuit design than they'd learn in formal electrical engineering classes.
