If you found out you had something that was going to kill you would you want to fight it or just live your life and die?

Depending on insurance you could rack up thousands of dollars in bills but be ok, or you can live the last fleeting moments how you want?

What is your choice?

Sometimes the treatment kills you faster than if you had done nothing.

Pancreatic cancer: I'm going to the farm and sit on the front porch until the pain gets too bad. Then I'm going into the back yard to blow my brains out.

I'd fight it for a bit. Give it a valiant effort but if things didn't improve I'd stop fighting it. Hard to say without it happening to you i guess.

The decision was a lot easier before I had young kids. No question what I'd do if my kids were grown or they didn't exist.

I would just smoke weed until I'm gone. So, living large.

Have you been watching Lenox Hill on Netflix?
I was contemplating the same thing after watching that show. Depressing shite.

If my kids are grown, I don’t think I want to go through all of that treatment for a few more months of life.

If I get more time by fighting it, I’m going that route. I’d like to see at least a little of my son’s life.

Rectal cancer: diagnosed Stage IV April 2016. was told I had about two years with treatment. I chose to fight and I am still here and have a pretty decent quality of life a bit over 4 years later.

Depends how hard the fight is, how long it buys me, and what my quality of life is during the process.

As I mentioned I another thread, I’ve had a really good life, even though I’m in my mid 30s. If it’s my time, it’s my time. Everyone close to me knows I want to go out on a massive diamorphone overdose if it gets really bad.

If my illness is terminal, I’m headed to the mountains and riding the vein into the afterlife
