Eh, probably not that one.

I used a Nintendo controller to make a programmable progressive nitrous controller for senior design in college. Worked great. Lol

Do you think they had one or two seconds of "oh shite"? After that, I imagine it went near instantaneously.

Look at the graph posted by GasMan, they had 18 minutes of knowing something was going wrong.

Yes except incredibly more violent.

14.7 psi in the video vs. 5500 psi for the sub

I saw a quoted article on Twitter that claims the window used on this sub was only rated for a depth of 1,300 meters. Titanic lies more than 3,800 meters beneath the surface.

Yea...frick all those rich fricks who get carried up the mountain by the sherpas and leave all their gear behind.

How's this for total bullshite. I saw a report a few days ago about a Sherpa who's suing a Chinese guy who was almost certainly going to die on Everest. He, the Chinese guy, said he'd pay anyone who could rescue him $10K to bring him down safely.

The Sherpa did that for him and then the guy reneged on paying him.

Correction: I just found an article that said it was a woman, not a man.

The moral of the story is, which I’m sure we all can agree upon,

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes

He was steering that thing with a Logitech video ($30.00 price tag - off the shelf) game controller. Let that sink in for a moment.

He was running this submersible propane tank (turned deep sea submersible) on the cheap.

The few and only? Ahhh, the games that rich people play.

I know one guy went to space before but did the businessman and his son do any sort of training/testing/vetting before this dive?

Freaking the f out underwater would seem like an issue to me, even if things were going as planned. What if the kid lost it?

I mean you’re probably not far off based off how it seems this company ran. Reasonable inspections would have been doing UT or RT on critical surfaces before & after every trip.

That’s true- the marine director they fired brought that up. The company that made the window only rated it for 1,300m

Did the passengers died instantly or would they have had a few seconds to realize what was happening?

Anyone seen that documentary about the weird dude who had crews building this big submarine and then he invited a female journalist to ride with him on it and he killed her?

Wonder if this was one of them kind of deals..

So what would be causing the sounds in the beginning? Appears to be a signature for 10mins or so.

I would think it would be pretty quick and catastrophic.
