Best case scenario (other than rescue) was for a spontaneous implosion.

At least they got closure.

Not sure if it was posted here, but there was a reporter who either did go on one of these or was and it fell through, but he said you would be there for like 5 days or a week and they would make multiple dives and most of them resulted in an abort because of some issue with the sub. Success rate for actually making it to the bottom wasn't that great.

I'm calling it. Time to call off any and all searches and stop throwing good money after bad.

RIP IP to each of the very poor decision makers on board. What young Cam did was foolish, but it was made in an instant and under the influence of alcohol. These people were all fricking retarded.

People in the thread were complaining about how taxpayers are picking up the tab. In this case these baws have/will (estate tax) pay a very substantial amount of taxes... now I'm not suggesting that the Fire Department shouldn't put out the fire at a poor persons house but to complain about taxpayers picking up the tab is puzzling

Remind me, what are the US estate taxes for the Pakistani and British billionaires?

You see the concern with the USCG picking up the tab for international water and a private corporation that could be based anywhere?

Someone will eventually find this sub next to MH370 in a CIA warehouse.

What if the banging caused the fail in the structure?

In previous posts, it was mentioned that the ballast was rigged up scaffolding pipes sitting on a shelf on either side of the sub, and that they had to rock the sub by leaning from one side to the other to release it. It was also mentioned in another post (by an ex navy submariner) that the sub was descending too quickly and they were attempting to lose the ballast to slow the rate just before communications stopped.

It may be possible that if the hull was already weakened, the violent attempts to rock the sub by it's occupants under the immense pressures of the depths may have pushed the compromised hull to the point of failure.

Seems like a debris field was found in the search area.

Time will tell if it’s the sub or not.

You can actually go back in time and tell:

What a bunch of whiny bitches. I posted something having not seen or heard of the update from just a minute or two ago. Jesus, some of y’all need to calm down.

* 2pm SRN radio update, announces debris field, found, but nothing identifying it to the submarine. Clearly, the news was written before the most recent update, yet they still went to air with this information.

I ain’t the only one.

So now BBC news is saying they have confirmed the landing frame and the rear cover from the Titan have been found in the debris field, essentially confirming a catastrophic implosion took place. At least it was quick.

DeflateGate (Brady footballs)
NippleGate (Janet J superbowl)
SpyGate (NE FB spying)

Maybe a dumb question, but with how much pressure there is at that depth, how has the Titanic basically maintained it's form? I know it's built a lot sturdier but I would assume at some point it would have collapsed.

Just an absolutely senseless tragedy. Word to the wise, if you want to build anything where safety is an absolute must, don’t cut corners. If you’re gonna build a damn submarine, build a world class submarine. Don’t order the damn parts from Wish and GameStop. This dumbass had plenty of money and resources to do this right but instead he was a cheap arse billionaire who risked people’s lives for what amounted to pocket change.
